Real Fun. Real Girls.

Hey Campers,

Do you all miss camp as much as me?  I miss cookouts, songfests, Morning Watch, games of Biffer and Capture the Flag…and I miss all of you! I think we'd all agree that God shows up in so many ways at camp.    One of the reasons we feel His presence so much there is because we are free from the interruptions of everyday life.  He doesn't have to compete with our school activities, T.V., our I-pod collection, or our Facebook status.  Everything we do at camp is centered around Christ.

I want to challenge all of you, as you are probably busy with the everyday life, that if you spend time seeking God; praying, reading your Bible, worshiping him,  He will show you more of Himself.  The Bible says in Jeremiah 29:13-14:

"Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.  You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart."

It's just like the exciting treasure hunts or games of Capture the Flag we play at camp, where we are on a great search.  The search is exciting and challenging and sometimes takes time…but when we find the treasure or that hidden flag…it's worth it.  The time you spend seeking God and searching for his will in your life, can be challenging and often requires a sacrifice on our part, but the treasure that you will find will be worth it.
